During SOAR this week the kids were able to have time playing with different types of blocks and legos before starting clubs. This week was the first week that the kids got to start the club they selected and I was put with the kindergarteners for the detectives club. They had a map and a game on their ipad's which they would find clues on. Overall this was a very exciting week for the kids!

Today we started off checking the kids in then took them to the gym and played dodgeball. Then I helped out in the painting club and cleaned up after! We had dinner and time in the library, then I left.

Today, I was with the older group at SOAR. We started by doing watercolor painting, where the kids were tasked with doing random drawings. Then, since it was very nice outside, SOAR went outside to play and do activities. A couple of the other leaders and some kids started a soccer game, which was extremely fun. I am pretty sure that my team definitely won. Other than that, it was another great day with SOAR.

Today at SOAR the children were not in their usual groups. I am normally with the same group of first graders every week. Today they were split into "clubs" containing children of multiple ages. I was put in a room with a club that was doing karaoke. A lot of the children were the ones I see every week. We sang Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber. After karaoke club we went to the cafeteria for dinner. I sat with some of the little girls and they played with my hair after they finished eating. All of them wanted to play the game where you slap each other's hands with me. The time flew by at SOAR today, and normally I only stay until 5. I was having so much fun though and our activities ran a little late. I can't wait to go back next week!

Yesterday since it was so nice outside, we played outside the whole time! The snow had melted so lots of the kids got muddy and were jumping in puddles haha. We even did their discovery learning outside.

Today at SOAR we got to spend time outside enjoying the nice weather! We spent about an hour and a half outside playing and I got to play basketball with some of the kids in the group I go with. We then went inside for dinner and student of the day. Overall it was a very nice day!
