Helped moved in students

During this service event, I was able to help incoming freshman and upperclassmen move into their dorms. I was able to help with moving in for the university. I loved giving back to a school that has given me so much. Through this experience, I met so many new and current students at the university. I was able to welcome them to university and even to the city of Memphis. I also got to meet so many parents and give them a sense of ease as they were dropping their children off at school. I was able to meet so many great people and welcome them to the university that I love and want each student to experience that. This was the first step in welcoming them to the university and helping them feel loved and valued there.

As a Freshman, this was a great experience to be involved in. Although, I didn't know what to do right away, I received enough guidance to fulfill the role and be independent in the later hours. Everyone was very friendly, positive, high energy, patient, and helpful to make sure the move-in process went smoothly. None of these achievements could have been done without a team and that's exactly what this experience was. I hope to participate in more opportunities like this.
