This was a great opportunity to meet the new incoming freshman and learn a little bit about them.

On this day I helped incoming freshmen move Into the all-girls dorms on campus. It was a wonderful experience meeting and interacting with new faces on campus.

This experience influenced my future career and educational goals because it taught me to be assertive in situations and to figure out the most efficient ways to solve problems. This experience changed my perspective on my role within the community because I can make a difference with helping many people out and show up for them when they need it most. I worked as part of a team, and that impacted my experience by developing new leadership skills that are going to have an impact on my career. I do plan on continuing to volunteer with this organization because it left such an impact on me knowing that I got to help the new incoming class, and the new connections I formed. Some unexpected challenges I faced were the elevators not working, so I gathered groups of people to help haul crates up the stairs so the load could be taken off of just one person.
