MAS Field Trips

It was great I loved Tipper

For the duration of this service, my friend and I had the opportunity of taking Floella on a field trip. The field trip provided Floella with the opportunity of spending the day with my friends and I. But it also was a way to advertise that Floella was available for adoption. So this was a people facing service that involved working with Memphis Animal Services. It is a way to help advertise one the many dogs that they have available for adoption. While also getting to know Floella so that we are able to give an insight of her personality for potential adopters. With this service experience, it made me come to the realization that there are many dogs and animals within Memphis Animal Services. But also that these field trips serve as a way to advertise these amazing dogs that you wouldn't otherwise know about. They allow you the brief insight of their personality and helps with deciding if a certain dog is best fit for your household. The person overseeing this service opportunity is Ana, and she is over the field trips. She was our main source for contact during our field trip for the day. She explained the expectations of the field trips. Which were to provide the dogs with a fun day but also making sure to take pictures. The pictures would be used for their instagram page and could be posted on your own personal account. Ana was very clear on what she expected from us volunteers and what to do in case of an emergency. As a result, I do plan on continuing to volunteer with this organization. I enjoy spending the day with these amazing dogs that are filled with so much personality. But I also love being able to help them possibly find a home. Overall, I really appreciate the efforts of those working at Memphis Animal Services.

It was so nice to spend time with our dog and get to let her enjoy some sun and snuggles.
