Community Clean-Up

Spending a Saturday serving the Memphis Rox Climbing + Community was a great experience and one that I would be more than open to doing in the future. I was able to serve alongside my fellow Frosh Camp counselors, and together I feel as if the impact we made that day will be enjoyed by the community. I believe that the trash we picked up will help the residents of that community feel confident and safer in their surroundings as well as give the animals a better place to roam in. I worked as part of a team during this service experience and I think it bettered my overall experience since I was able to collaborate with others. My experience definitely aligned with my personal values, because I strongly believe we should all take part in making sure our shared environment is taken care of and in the best condition. I plan to continue volunteering with this organization, because I like their purpose, mission, and the people involved with the organization.

It is always a pleasure to return to Memphis Rox and clean up the area because the people in the area expect it and appreciate it. They also provide all the necessary materials for safe and effective cleaning of the neighborhood. This act of service builds morale for those in the neighborhood. This service aligned with my belief that service is essential when you're in the position to provide it. Doing service with this team allowed us to grow closer by being of service to other people. Yes, I plan to continue to participate in this service opportunity.
