Angela mentioned and talked about different ways she would consider inclusion and diversion, and how she views things in the society. Voting at the Polls
Voting in person was definitely a new experience I have never done before. It felt very good casting a vote and having an opportunity to have my voice heard through voting. My experience consisted of going to my hometown Court House with my mom. We both arrived and were asked to remove all metal objects and walk through a metal detector. Our temperatures were recorded, and we were asked to wait in line. Both my mom and I had to get our ballots from a front desk. They recorded our voter cards. Our county gave us registration cards that made it easier for them to look us up and record our names for the ballot. Once we got out stylus and the ballot, we headed towards the online polls. I have never voted before so I had no idea what to expect. I went up to the electronic polls and a lady cleaned of the screen for me. I inserted my ballot and started the process of voting. I was initially given some terms and information regarding the way the voting was going to occur. There were some issues I did not know of that were concerning my city and the school district. I was taking my time reading every issue and every candidate as I was in no hurry. I also had to vote for candidates concerning my city council and other positions. I finished my voting and printed out my ballot. I retrieved my ballot and turned it in to a machine that should record our votes. I had to wait for my mom as she had trouble reading some parts of the voting process. The voting process was very simple and easy to understand. I definitely liked voting in the polls. I will just be a little bit more prepared as I plan to vote next time. I had no idea how voting was going to take place so it definitely was not like anything I would have thought of.

    Compassion House Volunteer Day

    Compassion House Volunteer Day
The volunteering I did consisted of going to a compassion house, which was a house made to help young teens during pregnancy. I helped out by raking leaves outside the house and putting them in bags. I learned how much that Compassion House actually helps young teens during pregnancy when their families or other guardians fail to do so. They provide shelter, food, and supplies for their future young ones. Not only did we rake leaves, but we cleaned up the porch a bit.
