The Volunteer Action Center consists of 45 dedicated students who make up the VAC board. Because the VAC board functions similarly to a nonprofit organization's board of directors, board members learn valuable skills such as volunteer recruitment, program coordination, fundraising and leadership. Each year, the VAC provides meaningful service opportunities through events and ongoing projects that engage the university and Northwest Arkansas communities. Collectively, VAC board members participate in more than 5120 hours of service each year with an economic impact of $120,627.
The VAC has 5 signature programs here on campus for students to volunteer with. Please refer to the program's GivePulse page for more information, as the application process is different for each program.
