Volunteering at Memphis Tilth was an enjoyale experience as I found myself doing garden work that would help provide food for the Memphis Community.
The Diggin' 2 ParadiZe Food and Essentials Drive, held by Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. served to collect food and hygeine items, assemble care packages, cooked burritos, and distribute them to those in need in the downtown Memphis area. This impact pretains to the set up and distribution of the care packages and burritos that took place on October 21st. This started slightly before 5 pm to end roughly at 10 pm. I had a great time collaborating with the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta, bonding with my brother, and helping the less fortunate who bring life to the city of Memphis.
I had a wonderful time with the Wednesday group and helping the people of Memphis and being able to make an impact in the lives of others just by offering a few hours of my time. I have really found an organization that I see myself always coming back to and as a way to help my community that inspires me to do more.
