Working with Habitat for Humanity was a really impactful experience. We were in the community raking leaves and planting flowers for an older lady in the community who wouldn't be able to do those things on her own. Our group was able to feel like we directly made a difference in the community. Neighbors came up to us during the cleanup to inquire about what we were doing and were grateful that there was an agency/people who cared enough to try and help their neighbor.

This experience is one I will never forget. It was fun help setting up the games for the children. I felt us, volunteers, were having more fun when it came to the games. We got a chance to let our inner child out.

The St. Jude Garden is a part of the campus that helps grow fresh fruits and vegatables to be used in and around campus. As a volunteer we helped weed plants, plant new flowers and pot more plants, clean up around trees, and water the vegetables. I helped picked peppers and spinach and got a very good bonding experience with people on campus. Being able to volunteer and help continue to have fresh fruits and veggies for the patients at St. Jude has left an impact on me and I hope to continue to help serve in the garden.
