This was really fun! I thought I had signed up to an event that the University of Memphis served at, however, it was not. Nevertheless, I still went and it was great. This opportunity not only exposed me to a new part of town, but was also very humbling. There were seven volunteers (including myself) that attended, and even though I had thought there would be more, we made a great team. All the preparation- set up, food, boxing, clean up, and packaging- were all done by hand. Mrs.Gloria, the director of the event, was very nice and welcoming. I'm very blessed to be able to assist in giving back to the community.
