This event was so awesome, I had a great time helping kids and adults do crafts. We made Fascinators and little po pouri bags, and even got to make some example ones for the kiddos! Angel Young was the staff member leading our group and she was incredibly kind and great to work with, I had a lovely time and plan to volunteer with the memphis botanical gardens again sometime soon!

I had a wonderful time helping out at this event! It was mostly directing parents to stations they were looking for, helping keep the event area clean, and making sure little kids didn't run away with crayons, which I enjoyed, because the young thieves were pretty cute, in spite of their crimes! I had quite a few pleasant conversations with big humans and little humans, and got to hang out in the sun and help kids color little butterfly magnets, so I'd say this was time well spent!
I had a lovely time hearing about the Dorthy Day house, and I'll be keeping an eye out for ways to support them in the future, me and three or 4 others made an adorable blanket together and I had so much fun. Food was also provided, which was unexpected but very nice nontheless!
Working with those at the carpenter art garden was absolutely amazing, and I look forward to volunteering with them again when I can! It was wonderful to be a part of making sure that families could have a good meal together this Thanksgiving. Thank you to everyone at the Carpenter art garden who worked on this fantastic event, and made it such a wonderful experience for me, other volunteers, and the hundreds of families positively impacted by this giveaway.
This was so fun, me and my roomate, as well as one of my best friends went together and I got to play with an adorable mama dog named Morticia. She was very polite and well behaved, and really wanted pets and loving more than anything else. She was a total sweetheart and I hope I'll be able to volunteer with the Memphis animal shelter again soon!
It was so great to go out and set up an event that may have helped these wonderful pups to get adopted! It was also great to get to meet all the dogs and the people working tirelessly to get them to their forever homes. I hope I can work with these lovely folks from the humane society again soon, and I encourage you to join them if you have the opportunity!
