Kathy @ Girls on the Run (GOTR) Memphis

I think one of the best parts about volunteering with these girls is getting a perspective outside of medical school. It's so beautiful to see the things that these 2nd-5th graders care about--it connects me to the broader mission of medicine and to the humanity whom we serve.

    Suture Tech - February 2025

This was my first suture tech shift and it was a blast! It was a little slower so it allowed Joe to take time to teach me me sutures and the ins and outs of the trade. It was really impactful to actually lay hands on people and aid in their healing process. This is a great experience for underclassmen to get real clinical experience before heading into rotations.

    Kathy @ Franktown Open Hearts

I really enjoyed volunteering at the Franktown Festival of Lights! It was really meaningful to direct families as they drove through to admire the lights and to add to their Christmas spirit. I hope to go back and volunteer again next year.
