Today, I donated a box of snacks to YRCC to contribute to their summer camp. This was a great way to give back to my community!
At this event, we were split into stations to help make menstrual kits to be donated to those in need. I enjoyed this event and loved contributing to such an amazing cause.
I worked as a volunteer in the sports nutrition program for the month of September. I work alongside the football team dietitian and assist her with the weekly needs of the athletes. A few things I did during the week is make smoothies, set out vitamins, and restock supplies.
I shared this graphic on my instagram story and it was a great way to make people more aware of this month and this cause.
I shared this post from MHAO on my instagram story and it was a great way to remind people about this month and to introduce more people to the Mental Health Awareness Organization.
I donated 15 items for Global Brigades. This was a great way to help out an amazing cause.
I attended a zoom call called Find Your Impact, hosted by the Volunteer Action Center. A representative from the organization, Circles NWA spoke to us about how to get involved with their organization. She spoke on how they provide support and friendship, meals, and community to the people of NWA. I appreciated that there are so many ways to get involved with this organization. I could volunteer here through helping with meal prep, cooking, or cleaning up from their community meals. They also have a children's program on Wednesday evenings. This is something that sparked my interest because I love working with kids. Overall, this was a great presentation and Circles NWA seems like an amazing organization that I would love to get involved with.
This was a great experience and a great way to make more people aware of autism awareness day.
