    Christian @ Mariposa

I volunteered with this organization before, but this time I helped out with a different part. I worked packaging food for the homeless. This consisted of crackers, peanut butter and jelly, and granola bars. This would be packaged in bags and passed out later. I enjoyed doing this and would like to do it again.

    Christian @ Mariposa

I had the great opportunity to help out the Mariposa organization. This organization helps package and deliver feminine products to homeless women across the city. It is a new non-profit, and I am so happy I got the opportunity to help out. I would like to do it again, and maybe help deliver the packages next time.

Christian @ Alabama Heat Track and Field Club

Over winter break, I had the opportunity to work with Alabama Heat. Alabama Heat is a local track and field club that trains children for AAU. I was apart of this year while I was in middle school, and I was excited to be able to get involved. I was with Coach Jeff, the head coach, for multiple days, and assisted him with timing children during their workouts and watching to make sure they were doing everything correctly. Alabama Heat is a year long club, so I hope I can help out again.

    Christian @ Donnie Brown-Hill & Associates

When I went back home I was able to work with the Donnie Brown-Hill & Associates business. The business works on different wellness events and helps with support like life coaching. The first thing I had to do was call and confirm clients. It was a very easy job and didn't take long to complete. After that was don, I had to prepare handouts for her upcoming event and make labels for the filing system. Most of my time there was making sure things were organized and ready for the event. It was a very good experience and went by quickly. I would do it again!

    Christian @ Homewood High School

I'm so happy I got the opportunity to volunteer at my old high school. I helped ticket people before they enter to watch our football team play. I was able to see people I've missed and haven't seen in a while. It was an easy job, and I'm happy I could help.

Christian @ 9/11 Day of Service

This was a very simple task I was able to do this semester. We were asked to either bring food or write letters to active military or veterans. I really didn't know what to write, so I brought food. Since, I was able to go shopping I could only provide multiple packs of oatmeal, peanut butter, and mac and cheese. It made me feel better because I often don't have time to go out and volunteer. Overall, it made me feel better because it was a simple way to give back.
