What skills did you develop or improve through this service experience?
I have improved my communication skills because I had the opportunity to put those skills to use. I was able to practice talking clearly and engagingly so that both parents and kids could understand.
How did your service influence your understanding of social or environmental issues?
This service event taught me a lot about the earth and how much pollution there is. It encouraged me to plant more plants to help save the earth.
Did you work individually or as part of a team, and how did that impact your experience?
I worked as a team, which impacted my experience because I got to know the other volunteers better. It created a good atmosphere for working together to tell the community about pollution and how they can help save the earth.
How did your service contribute to the mission or goals of the organization?
My service contributed to the organization's goal by making visitors of the botanic gardens aware of their planet and how they can help combat earth pollution.
Did your service align with your personal values and beliefs? If not, how did you handle
any conflicts?
This service aligns with my values because I care about the well-being of the planet I and others live on. I would love to share with others why taking care of the earth and being a part of that mission is important.

The staff was nice and friendly. I was assigned a troll (Ronja) and ran the flag activity station where kids had the opportunity to design/write about ways they can help the environment.
