Youth Villages Holiday Heroes Workshop Volunteers

I had such a great time serving last week I just had to come back again! My service with Youth Villages in the Holiday Heroes Workshop was full of holiday joy! My direct services were aimed at youth and families in low-income households as we hope to have a positive impact on their Christmas celebrations. Youth Villages hosts this workshop every year and I think it's a beautiful opportunity for us to give to those who are less fortunate than us, tying closely to my beliefs. I mainly worked with Ms. Anna Otto who created a joyful atmosphere when I was volunteering. She gave very clear instructions and lots of tasks to complete. Today, many more volunteers came to help; It was heartwarming knowing that others put out time in wanting to help improve the lives of the youths we were indirectly serving. I plan to volunteer again next year! The Holiday Heroes Workshop was a beautiful experience to rememeber.

I really enjoyed helping out today. It means a lot to me to be able to put a smile on a kids face around the holiday season.
