America Recycles Day of Service with International Paper

During this event, I was able to serve alongside other Memphis students while learning about recycling from International Paper professionals. First, we attended a presentation about the recycling process. I learned that not all materials can be recycled, and some even damage the equipment. After the presentation, we created an assembly line in order to create food boxes for our local food pantry. I enjoyed working with the International Paper staff, and feel much more knowledgeable about recycling now that I have attended this event.

I got to learn about International Paper's purpose and all about recycling. I also got to help package boxes for the Tiger Pantry!

This was an interesting and engaging event. I enjoyed listening to representatives from International Paper, and meeting a few peers in the same college department as me
