During this volunteer experience I was able to help direct traffic at a COVID vaccination center. This made me feel empowered in that I knew that I was helping my community combat a pandemic. I was able to make conversations with those being vaccinated and other volunteers. Volunteering today has made an impact on me because I was able to learn some of the different reasons behind choosing to be vaccinated, and also an impact in my community in that I was able to unite with others and help turn around our nation's circumstances.
I'm a retired physician. I no longer have my license but clearly can give immunizations. I'm not sure if or how I could do that.
