Giving back to the community is always fulfilling. I think the most significant lesson I learned from my volunteer work is that kindness really does make a difference in the world. I also learned how to modify my leadership style for different situations. Giving back to the community has always been one of my favorite things to do. This is relevant to one's career, particularly if one works in a clinic or medical facility. To continue building a safe haven for those in need of help, the group requires everyone's cooperation.

This previous weekend, I was able to be a part of a wonder group of people and help our community. I enjoyed this a lot because although I’m not from memphis, it felt welcoming to help our community. We prepped food like can goods and hot food and made plates for the homeless. Most of them were so grateful and thankful for us, all I was hearing was positive things from them like “thank you all!” Or “y’all have a blessed day.” It was nice to hear that from them because we made them feel good. One skill that I improved during my services was patience. We worked as a team and that helped me get to know different people and step outside my comfort zone. My time here had a positive impact on me because I know that I’m going to come back and help some more. It made me feel good as a person.
