Volunteer Community Clean-up

Memphis Rox has brought the Memphis community together in a multitude of ways, but so far my favorite has been seeing so many people come out on a Saturday morning to happily walk around and pick up trash! Our Earth is our home, and it is our responsibility to treat it with respect and keep it clean. I had the opportunity of rock climbing here a few weeks prior to volunteering, and I will definitely be back to do both again! Picking up trash is a simple task, but the reward in knowing I am bettering my community while doing so made it fun. I also love that this organization gives everyone the opportunity to climb in their gym regardless of if they can pay while offering extremely reasonably priced and healthy food. It was an overall great experience. The staff at this organization really made this fun as well. They were extremely kind and welcoming. I never thought I would say I had a great time picking up trash, but I did!
