The Beyond the Hilltop Zoom meeting was an opportunity to hear from former Claflin University students about their experiences while attending the university. The panelists shared their experiences, lessons they learned, and how Claflin helped prepare them for life after graduation. I enjoyed hearing their different perspectives and learning how the connections and opportunities they gained at Claflin impacted their futures. This meeting reminded me to take advantage of the opportunities available to me, build meaningful relationships, and make the most of my college experience as I continue my journey at Claflin.
Attending the career fair at Claflin University was a valuable experience that allowed me to practice using my elevator pitch and connect with companies I was interested in. I enjoyed introducing myself and sharing my career goals with different employers. I was particularly interested in MUSC Volunteer Services because of my passion for healthcare and gaining more clinical experience. This experience helped me build confidence in professional networking and explore opportunities that align with my future career goals.
Being ball personnel at the SC football game against VSU was a great experience. I enjoyed being part of the game and helping everything run smoothly. This opportunity taught me the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and staying engaged during sporting events.
Volunteering as ball personnel at the SC State football game against Savannah State was a fun and rewarding experience. I helped give the correct footballs to the referees to help the game flow. This experience taught me the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and staying focused in a fast-paced environment.
