I volunteered at an annual food packaging event, where I carefully assembled and packed nutritious meals that were later distributed to communities in Africa and local organizations throughout Memphis. Performing this service filled me with a deep sense of purpose and gratitude, as I realized how even a few hours of focused effort could help fight hunger both overseas and right in my own city. The experience also introduced me to many new people who shared the same commitment to helping others, creating meaningful connections that strengthened my appreciation for community service.

During the Italian festival, I helped set up tables and chairs before the event started. This experience allowed me to serve humbly by helping wherever needed and working with others. I showed courage by stepping up to help with tasks and trusted God by using my time to serve others. Through this service, I saw the importance of community, sharing kindness, and supporting those around me.
I washed fruits and vegetables, cut up potatoes and chicken, and prepared plates for the homeless.
I filled cups up with water and gave it to the runners. I worked at water station #2
I picked up trash off the ground and put back tables inside the gymnasium.
I helped with carnival games by showing the little kids how to play and gave them prizes.
I helped set up their booth and evangelized. I passed out rosaries, booklets, prayer cards, and blessed medals.
I helped the Legion of Mary Ministry set their booth up. I also answered Catholic and Non Catholic questions about why we believe in our faith and why we honor Mother Mary. I passed out booklets, prayer cards, and rosaries.
