1. This service helped me improves communication skills 2. I learned that the community is in need of help and often senior citizens do not get as much attention as they deserve 3. I made a connection with Mrs. Jacquelyn as well as the people I played bingo with 4.Yes I would go back because I had a lot of fun playing with the people I met there 5. my service did align with my values because I was giving back to the community

1. I improved my gardening skills
2. my service allowed more gardening beds to open up so they can start re growing plants in the garden
3. I worked in a team which made it easier to remove all of the weeds
4.they taught us to to properly remove weeds and what tools to use
5. I overcame the challenge of not being able to pull the weeds out and changed this by switching tools

2. I learned about the different homeless shelters around memphis
3. I worked in a team which made it easier to make the blanket
4. yes because i like what they stand for and the activity was fun

I learned that they often use the garden to grow fruits and veggies to give back to their community

I made a lot of new friends at this event as well as strengthened a previous connection with another friend

I do plan to continue volunteering with this organizations because while I did not like the bugs I enjoyed learning new things about the garden and meeting new people

An unexpected challenge I faced was the amounts of crickets I saw and I overcame this by removing myself from the crickets once the work was completed

This experience has influenced my future goals because I made me realize I would like to get out and serve my community more.

I learned that there is a community in Memphis that is dedicated to helping people get back on their feet and give back to their community.

I worked in group of 4 people. One that creates the plates, one that manages, and another girl and I brought the plates out. This impacted my experience because it showed me what it was like to work with a team of people who had a common goal in mind.

The service contributed to the mission of the organization because we helped feed the homeless which is a big part of their mission

the service aligned with my personal beliefs because doing this type of work was something I have been interested in since I was a little girl and it was nice to finally follow through with my goals.
