It was World Down Syndrome Day! I helped with setting up, taking pictures for families, and tearing down. It was a great day getting to celebrate our homies with extra chromies.
I started mentoring a 4th grader. It was my first time and I loved it.
I helped with their fundraising event Bubbles, Boots & Bingo. It was an absolute blast and I loved every second.
Every Sunday for 6 weeks for about an hour we teach the athletes the fundamentals of pickleball. It's a program called Buddy Up where I am the buddy and I am paired with an young adult with down syndrome (the athlete), and we learn the game of pickleball.
We hosted a Christmas party and called out Bingo as well as served lunch to them. It was a lot of fun loving on those women.
We hosted a Christmas party for the military families. I got to help set up the presents in the morning and then I got to help with taking pictures with Santa. It was a blast and I would definitely do it again.
We spent the morning bagging up some of the food and then handed out thanksgiving meals to the military families. I had an absolute amazing time and it was awesome getting to love on the men and women who give so much to our country.

Thank you for your big Higg helpers' heart, Kayla!
