Today at SOAR I arrived while they were in their clubs. The club I decided to go help at was minute to win it. The game that they played was cup stacking and the younger team won both times. They had a little bit a free time and some of the kids were playing cards and talking to me about the cups game. Once everyone transitioned from their clubs I was with group 5 for flex. Flex is the time where they read their books. Group 5 was just starting Percy Jackson and we were popcorn reading. Once flex was done it was time for dinner and I sat with a group of girls from group 5. We talked about our spring breaks and they told me about how they went to visit their cousins, went to sky zone, and some of them just stayed home. We also talked about their current favorite tv shows and some of the shows they told me about I remember watching whenever I was younger. As my time at SOAR has progressed I have really enjoyed gaining relationships with the kids and have them recognize me and get excited to see me.

While at 7hills today I helped go through and organize items that were donated to be put in the clothing room. It was great to help give back to 7hills and make the Friday day time easier.

While at my time here today I helped reorganize the clothing closet. It is very nice to be able to give back to this organization even in small ways like helping make sure their spaces are clean and well organized.

During my volunteering time at 7Hills today I was in the clothing room helping organize and make sure the room was in great shape. While in there some people came in and talked to me while they were finding outfits. They talked about how even though it was Monday it was a great day because the sun was shining. One thing I have noticed is that a lot of the people who come into 7hills that I have encountered are very positive and look at the world in a very positive light even though they might not be in the best situations. My time at 7hills so far has been wonderful to be apart of.

During my time at SOAR they were outside most of the day since it was so nice out. I was with the kids on the swings and was pushing and talking to them. After we went inside and had dinner and I sat with the 3rd grade girls. This group is the group I started with in my first week and they have really started to recognize me and even mentioned me as someone who they are excited to see. They also are talking too me about what house I should join and want me to join all the different ones with them. As my time here has gone on and even only being in my third week here I have truly started to build relationships with these kids and look forward to going on Thursdays.

It was great to be able to spend my afternoon at SOAR. They had a fun day so I sat and colored while making valentines and talked with the kids as well as sit and eat with them at the end of the day. It was fun going back for a second time because the kids recognized me!
