WIMS and AWS partnered in a mentoring event for high schoolers interested in pursuing a career in medicine. As a mentor, I helped teach ultrasound techniques to high school students and had numerous conversations with them about what it's like to be a medical student, offering my advice and support. Seeing so many young girls inspired and eager to pursue medicine was a great reminder of why I chose this career path. Emphasizing just how valuable and needed these young women are in the medical field meant a lot. I met so many inspiring young women who will contribute a great deal to medicine and healthcare.
