I helped run carts during hours of operation. This was such a learning experience and huge blessing to see people getting the help they need.

My team sat outside of our local Walmart and collected items in a supply drive manner to donate to the Bread of Life Food Bank in Springdale. We sat by the main doors with a table and posters and customers would buy extra items and donate them to us. It was cool getting to talk to all of these people and tell them about our cause.

On this day I helped work the Farm Friends event at the Pauline Whitacker Center!! When I first arrived I got my volunteer vest before going to a table and wrapping around 500 hot dogs. This was fun because I got to visit with the girls in my class and some women from the Extension Office. After we were done wrapping hot dogs, we got to walk around and look at all the exhibits for a little before guests arrived. Once guests started to arrive, I went to the parking lot and helped direct traffic to help everyone get efficiently filed in. Once the traffic slowed down, I was able to go back inside and help hand out hot dogs and cornbread for beans. We got to walk around while all the guests were there and see them enjoying their experience. I got to even hold a few animals. This experience was so fun and I hope to help again next year!

I helped Mrs. Amie Birdsong with my second sewing class and it was a blast!! In the first group of kids, we worked on finishing their pajama pants from last class!!! The kids enjoyed getting to see their finished projects and felt so accomplished. They were so excited and the smiles on their faces were priceless!!!! In the second group it was more individualized and all the kids worked on whatever they wanted! This group of kids were all older than the first group, and were mostly working on aprons but some made pillows!!! I really enjoyed getting to know all of these kids!!! Helping with this class is one of my favorite things I have been involved with through my college career so far!!

I volunteered at the 4H Rice, Breads, and Dairy Foods Competition. We helped check the kids in and get their dishes to the right place to be judged!!! There were multiple age groups, food categories, and sections within each category so it got a little chaotic!!! I got to meet so many kids and enjoyed seeing what they made! I remember doing this competition as a kid so it was such a full circle moment!!!

Today I spoke with Ms. Amie about future dates for sewing and various projects we could start with the kids! Then I helped Mrs. Anna prepare for the EHC Extravaganza!!! We prepared packets for individuals from Washington and Benton County with various surveys and worksheets for the members to take back to their groups. I cut and sorted lots and lots of papers in order to create these packets. I got to meet a new classmate, Lilly, and really enjoyed getting to know her!!!!
