I served at a philanthropy event through my sorority, Delta Delta Delta, to support St. Jude. I signed up to serve pancakes for our event called DHOP, Delta House of Pancakes. I sold six extra tickets for my friends to buy pancakes to raise funds for St. Jude patients and their families. It was such a rewarding experience!
This experience was amazing! We spent hours at the Tri Delta house stuffing/writing letters to our family and friends asking for donations to St. Jude. It really gave me perspective on just how much money is needed to fund St. Jude and Tri Delta Place. We each contributed 50 letters, which including writing down the names and addresses of 50 people we knew onto envelopes and sending them out in the mail. It was such a heartwarming time for all of the sisters!
