I helped clean up after the function and take things back to the car so we could leave the venue on time!
My friend tagged the clothes while I placed them on hangers and helped steam!
We tagged clothes and steamed them and ended up putting them up for sale. It was very relaxing and a fun environment to volunteer at!
The entire time I took clothes out of the racks that had green tags since they were now going to be donated to people since they’ve been out for sale for such a long time. It was honestly a lot of fun!
My friend I decorated a selected corner of the store with Christmas decorations that were donated to the Salvation Army and we were also given the opportunity to look throughout the store and clean up the aisles that were messy with clothes falling of the racks. There weren't any clothes left that day to put into the racks however, we had a lot of other stuff such as bedding and pillows to showcase into racks that were designated for them.
I just was told to sort the racks of clothes out and put them in the sale isles by the different sizes and the different genders. It was fun! I worked with friends and learned that what ever hours and money we spend in Salvation Army, it all goes towards the soup kitchen. It warmed my heart.
