I enjoyed being able to make an impact. Although I could not donate directly, I could sort it and organize it.

I enjoyed meeting and working with the girls. I learned how to create an environment in which the girls feel save. I was able to help them with various task while also showing them how to be able to get there themselves. I worked with age group (6-8) and they wrote letters to themselves and another important figure in their lives. They needed help spelling out some words. Instead of telling them directly I encouraged them to sound it out and be confident in how they thought it would be spelled. All in all I had a wonderful time and plan to go back in the following weeks!!

I enjoyed training and learning what Girls Inc. stands for. I learned how to positively impact the girls I will be soon working with. It take a special heart to work with these young women and I’m excited to start that journey.
