Virtual Volunteer Day

Overview:
One of the most helpful things you can do as a volunteer is to recruit more volunteers! When you share your volunteer experience, you inspire and motivate others to get involved and that’s exactly what we need. Whether you’ve been volunteering with us for years or this is your first time, your story matters and invites new people to jump in and help. We want to hear about your volunteer experience and why giving back is important to you and your community. We will feature your pictures, quotes, and videos as part of our media campaign to get others involved in service. You can help someone new fall in love with volunteering. Will you help us reach new volunteers?

Materials Needed:
A phone or computer

Directions:
1. Choose one (or more!) of the following ways to share:
- Send a picture and a quote
- Send a written testimonial
- Make and send a short video (less than 1 minute)

2. Choose one of the following prompts to use in your quote or video:
- “It is important to give back to your community (or Memphis) because…”
- “My experience volunteering through Volunteer Odyssey was…”
- “I volunteer because it makes me feel…”
- What would you say to someone who is thinking of volunteering for the first time?

Submission Instructions:
Drop your videos or pictures and quotes into the FB Live video comments or email them to rachel@volunteerodyssey.com.
