Elementary Literacy Tutor

Only once students learn to read can they read to learn. Become a STREETS Smart volunteer and share the love of books with a second or third grader.

STREETS SMART is our elementary literacy program that focuses on increasing literacy levels for struggling 2nd and 3rd graders; the requirements are:

• Takes place at our Graham site only on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00 during the academic school year.
• Commit to one hour, one day (or more if you wish!) per week to provide consistency to our students.
• Volunteers read one on one with a 2nd or 3rd grade student.
• Submit a volunteer application using the below link. Once references and a background check are passed, volunteers will complete a brief new volunteer training specific to this program.
