I walked along the Frisco trail on 5/8/2024 for 2.5 hours (10:14 am-12:40 pm) and picked up trash on my walk. On 5/9/24 I walked again for 1.5 hours (11:27 am-12:57 pm) and picked up trash on my walk again. This was a great volunteer opportunity and I was happy to help the community!
I went around Fayetteville with my friends and cleaned up trash. After the Row parties, it was super messy and we loved getting to go out and help our community look better!
This is the third year I have participated in City of Fayetteville Trail clean up and I absolutely love it! I have recruited friends to accompany me over time and we love spending time outdoors and making effort to keep the trails clean. By preserving the cleanliness of our public spaces, we contribute to a healthier environment, attract visitors, and cultivate a stronger sense of community pride. As a Fayetteville local I think the impact of our actions extends far beyond the trail, making a significant and lasting difference in the overall well-being of Fayetteville. I look forward to contributing to this opportunity in the future!
Lake Fay is such a beautiful place, but that is because of the trail trekkers that keep it as beautiful as it is. I love doing the whole loop once if not twice with my friend as our workout for the week, and this particular time we picked up trash and it was a great way to give back to our beautiful lake.
I took my dog on a long walk around Lake Fayetteville and picked up trash as we were walking!
This is my favorite way to get my community service hours! today is a sunny chilly day and I loved going on the trail picking up trash!
This past weekend, my friend Janie and I walked at Gulley park and picked up trash along the way. It was absolutely beautiful weather, and I feel so grateful to have the opportunity to give back to Fayetteville and its beautiful community parks!
Today, I walked the Razorback Greenway. I normally don't walk here but I did today and there was lots of trash. This consisted of plastic bottles, plastic wrappers, old fast food bags and cans. I ended up filling up a whole large trash bag which is more than I usually fill up.
