I had a great time at Botanic garden, I showed my family different parts of the garden, and I also interacted with some people

I had a good time at Memphis Botanic gardens, I took my family on a tour of the garden which was pretty fun

Through my experience as the Nature Investigator, I developed and improved my communication, creativity, and teaching skills. Engaging with children and their families required me to explain concepts in simple, engaging ways while keeping their attention and encouraging curiosity about nature. From this experience, I learned that the Memphis community values education, creativity, and outdoor exploration. The children’s garden provides a wonderful space where families can connect with nature and learn together, showing how much the city invests in creating meaningful experiences for all ages. Working individually allowed me to explore the garden freely and interact with visitors at my own pace. It encouraged independence and gave me the chance to develop my own teaching style. The organization supported me by providing clear directions and all the materials I needed, but they also trusted me to take initiative and engage with visitors in my own respectful way. This service experience aligned with my personal values of education, creativity, and community involvement. I believe in the importance of hands-on learning and fostering appreciation for nature, so this opportunity was both fulfilling and inspiring.

I had a great time at the Botanic Garden. I saw koi fish, geese, squirrels and a variety of birds such as the cardinal and the blue jay. I also interacted with some kids.
