A great experience!
Volunteering at Food Pantry Friend was an experience that challenged my problem-solving abilities in unexpected ways. I often had to think on my feet to redistribute items efficiently while still keeping the space clean, organized, and accessible. Through this work, I gained a deeper understanding of the social issues surrounding food insecurity and how community-based organizations address these needs. During my service, I worked independently. Working alone allowed me to quickly organize shelves and maintain order. The organization provided clear guidance and consistent support, ensuring that volunteers understood their roles and felt comfortable asking questions. My service aligned strongly with my personal values, particularly the importance of compassion, community, and supporting others during times of need
