Room in the Inn: Serving with a Smile LUNCH

I really enjoyed helping serve lunch to the residents and guests at RITI!

My service impacted those in my community who were hungry and in need of a meal. My service aligned with my personal values which is to help others. Every time I volunteer here I am reminded that a single smile or encouraging words can make such a big difference in someone's lives. I plan to continue to do that with any encounter I am in. I am reminded on why I try to have a positive attitude and keeping a smile on my face. I always meet Nice people when I volunteer at Room In the Inn. I will be coming back like always.

Great people! Great experience! During my service I have plate and serve food to the families staying at the room in the inn. Every time I volunteer here I am reminded to always be grateful for what I have. A kind word, gesture, even a smile can do so much in someone's day. I am so glad that I can be a part of that. Seeing the children smile and being able to talk to people staying there genuinely makes me happy. it directly aligns with my personal values which is caring for others. I will continue volunteering here!
