Drake and I served baked pasta, garlic bread, and banana pudding. We helped wash dishes, wrap silverware, and deliver meals to those living at the Inn!
I always enjoy my time at Room in the Inn. We served corn, spaghetti, and garlic bread. I rolled silverware and brought food over to the adults on the cart. I also helped make plates for the families staying at the Inn.
Through my time volunteering with Room in the Inn, I developed stronger communication and adaptability skills. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of the complexities of homelessness. It made me more aware of how easily someone’s circumstances can change, and how important compassion and consistent community support truly are. I worked as part of a team, and that made all the difference. Collaborating with other volunteers not only made the workload more manageable, but it also built a sense of shared purpose. By showing up with kindness, I was able to directly support their mission of building community through compassion. I will always come back to Room in the Inn!
