Service on Saturday- February 17th

Great way to give back to the community. We provided a great service in an efficient manner.

During this event we were able to impact the greater Memphis community by volunteering at the botanical garden to assist with arts and crafts for national bird watching day. The staff was happy to have the extra set of hands to pass out binoculars, informational sheets, and bread sticks to feed to the birds that the consumers will be sight-seeing. I do plan on volunteering with the botanical garden again but not specifically for this event they have many good volunteer opportunities that allow you to connect with their visitors and they are very engaging. I would also like to continue volunteering because of the variety of opportunities they have. While in attendance I got to learn some small facts about the birds that are typically around during this time and I learned about bird counting day which is a national thing. I worked as a team during this event and it granted me the opportunity to get to know some of my members

My experience with serving at botanical gardens was very rewarding. I was able to help with different stations at this location guiding youth through an annual bird count!
