Serving with a Smile (LUNCH) at Room in the Inn (2023-24)

My service impacted those in my community who were hungry and in need of a meal. Today I packaged and rolled up forks and spoons. I also plated some salads. My service aligned with my personal values which is to help others. Today I served plates to this mom and her toddler son. Seeing their smile made me smile. Every time I volunteer here I am reminded that a single smile or encouraging words can make such a big difference in someone's lives. I plan to continue to do that with any encounter I am in. I am reminded on why I try to have a positive attitude and keeping a smile on my face. I worked with Mr. Walter today, he was the cook and he is very nice. I always meet Nice people when I volunteer at Room In the Inn!
