Huey's Community Garden Event

I had an amazing time volunteering at Huey's Community Garden. I learned that this garden is used to help food banks and homeless shelters around Memphis, TN. During this experience, I worked with many others. It was very inspiring that others and I were there even though it was around 100 degrees that day. I had the chance to pull weeds, rake leaves, and move bricks to beautify their garden. This experience did align with my personal values. I love to give back to those who are less fortunate, and this brings me joy. I would love to volunteer with this group again.

It was great! I helped get the dirt out of the weeds, stacked cinderblocks, and shoveled dirt!
