I do not consider myself having much of a green thumb, but the staff at Memphis Botanic Gardens made me feel like a natural at this month’s weed wrangle. In their native species exhibit, they showed us a select few evasive species which we were tasked with getting rid of. This was truly a learning experience, but I can say the Gardens are beautiful, so I understand why this work must be done. I had fun getting my hands dirty, and I look forward to visiting again.
