MICR Gameday Volunteer! | MICR Home Games

Memphis Inner City Rugby (MICR) is looking for volunteers to help support our home rugby games at the new MICR Rugby Field!

Our home games bring together MICR athletes, families, fans, and community members, and volunteers help make game days run smoothly. We have a variety of opportunities available, so whether you want to be close to the action, help behind the scenes, or take on a hands-on outdoor task, there is a way for you to get involved.

Volunteer Opportunities

Game Filming
Help capture the action by filming the game. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in sports, photography, videography, or media. No camera equipment or experience required - we provide the camera and a brief training before the game.

Field Maintenance
Help us take care of our new rugby complex by doing light outdoor maintenance, such as weeding garden areas and watering trees and bushes.

Game Setup
Help get the field and surrounding areas ready before the game. Tasks may include putting out player benches, setting up the scoreboard, and preparing other game-day equipment.

Game Take-Down
Help us pack things away after the game, including player benches, the scoreboard, and other game-day equipment.

During-Game Support
Help keep the game running smoothly by assisting with tasks such as refilling water coolers, picking up litter, and responding to other needs that arise during the game.

Game-Day Cleanup
Help keep the complex clean and welcoming for our athletes and guests. Tasks may include picking up litter during and after the game and cleaning restrooms following the game.

Location

MICR Rugby Complex
380 S Orleans St
Memphis, TN

Multiple volunteer shifts and roles will be available for each home game, so you can sign up for the opportunity that best fits your interests and availability.

No rugby experience is required. Most volunteer roles do not require any knowledge of the sport — just a willingness to help and be part of the MICR community.

Whether you're a longtime MICR supporter or are new to the organization, we'd love to have you join us for a home game!
