Monthly Mycology Class Education Support

Open Opportunity

About

We are looking for volunteers to help support our monthly mycology classes throughout the year.

This is a hands-on opportunity for anyone interested in learning how to grow mushrooms while helping us teach others. Volunteers will assist with class setup, basic instruction support, and occasional prep work between sessions. Dates and times vary each month, so this is a flexible role for people who want to stay involved without a rigid schedule.

You do not need prior experience. If you are curious about mushroom cultivation, food systems, or just want to learn something new, we will teach you the basics as you go. Over time, many of our volunteers build real skills in growing mushrooms and become more confident supporting others in the process.

This is a great fit for people who enjoy working with their hands, being around nature-focused learning, and being part of a small, engaged community.

If you have ever thought about growing your own mushrooms or just want to understand how it all works, this is a good place to start.
