About

Be a butterfly guardian! Memphis Botanic Garden is seeking volunteers to work in the Anne Heard Stokes Butterfly Garden.

Work will primarily consist of hand-weeding, perennial grooming, and some planting. Volunteers will help to monitor  monarch populations and record data to contribute to the citizen science efforts. These volunteers will need to be able to come to the garden weekly April-November. Existing knowledge and interest in butterflies, conservation, and data recording preferred.

Volunteers should be in good physical health, able to walk to and from the furthest point on the property, carry and haul at least 25 lbs, and work on their hands and knees. Volunteers should be prepared to get dirty and work in close contacts with  wildlife.

For more information, please contact Brianna Siebert at brianna.siebert@memphisbotanicgarden.com or call (901)-636-4102.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Memphis Botanic Garden!
