2025 City Hackathon

The City Hackathon is a 36-hour “sprint” event where we will gather 100 volunteers who want to lend their tech and creativity skills to develop solutions for civic challenges the City of Memphis has identified. This event will take place from November 7-9 at the University of Memphis FedEx Institute of Technology. Note this volunteer signup is just for those who want to work behind the scenes to help the event run smoothly. To register to join a Hackathon team for the weekend, please go to our Eventbrite page.

The three challenge areas the City has asked for new innovative ideas on are:

1) predictive analytics to manage blight;

2) tech improvements for small business partners; and

3) AI/data training to navigate City services.
