Be a Litter Getter: Shelby Farms Park Helping Hands

Be a Litter Getter! Help us pick up 2,025 pieces of litter each month in 2025 using Litterati. Our goal is to pick up 25,000 pieces by the end of the year. This is an ongoing, year long effort to keep the Park clean! You can participate during any time of the day and any day of the week, solo or with your family and friends, during your visits to the Park and the Greenline.

VOLUNTEERS: Please arrive at the First Horizon Visitor Center’s Front Desk to pick up your trash bags and gloves. You can park in the Visitor Center parking lot. Our Front Desk Staff will suggest a trail for you to help clean up, and they will help you set up your Litterati app if you haven't already. Please dress for the weather as you will be outside in the Park. At the end of your shift, please return any litter pick up gear back to the Front Desk and sign out with our staff. PLEASE INCLUDE THE DATE AND TIME YOU PLAN TO COME TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUR REGISTRATION, SO THE FRONT DESK KNOWS WHEN TO EXPECT YOU!

1. Register here through Volunteer Odyssey so that we can count you in.
2. Download the FREE Litterati - Cleaning The Earth app to join the event. Available for IOS and Android. 
3. Follow the prompts in the app and Use code "JAN2025" or "613996" to join the event in the Litterati app.
4. Using your phone camera, take photos as you pick up litter. This is how the app tracks the pieces as well as the data collected.
