About
Protect this beautiful park by helping to remove non-native plants from the woodlands surrounding the lake! Volunteers will gain instruction on winter invasive plant identification and removal techniques, and will help to remove bush honeysuckle and Chinese privet, allowing native plants a chance to emerge and establish. Water and tools will be provided; volunteers should wear protective clothing and sturdy shoes. No experience required!
We will also have a few sets of trash tongs on hand for those who would like to help pick up litter around the park.
Please wear long pants, closed shoes, and weather appropriate clothing. Rain, muck and hiking boots are incredibly helpful in the areas along the water.
