Volunteers will help "rescue" leftover food from the dining hall, cafes, and catering events and take to a local organization.
Volunteers retrieve leftover, untouched food from the Olmsted tunnels, weigh the food, and transport to the identified community agency. The food recovery can take place anytime between 2 and 4pm, but typically only takes 30-45 minutes total.
This opportunity has an environmental impact by keeping waste out of the landfill, and a social impact by putting the food into the hands of those who could use it in our community.
Further instructions are provided in a confirmation email. Please be sure to review the details in the confirmation email when it comes time to volunteer.
