About
Mentoring is the center of New Ballet Ensemble & School’s creative youth development. This is our initiative to support students professionally, academically, and personally.
As a member of the MENTOR Memphis Grizzlies Partnership, New Ballet provides support to our students through mentoring. Alongside MMG, New Ballet aims to create supportive and empowering relationships between dancers and adults fostered in a safe, creative, and uplifting space.
Our mentoring goal is to empower students to succeed beyond the studio.
We are seeking mentors of all backgrounds, from college students to professionals, in the Memphis community to serve as volunteer mentors to NBE students.
Mentors are fully screened and trained by New Ballet and the Memphis Grizzlies Foundation. This opportunity works to benefit both the mentor and the student in helping them all grow and learn from each other.
Brief Overview:
Meetings between 3-8 pm Monday- Thursday, 10 am-1 pm Saturdays | 1 mentor is matched with 1 mentee | Meet for 1 hour, at least 2x/month throughout the school year at the NBE facility.
