About
In Equestrian Bridges' Dream Catchers Program we facilitate Equine Activities and relationships with horses to develop language and communication while emphasizing relationship development and connections with peers and adults. Clients learn to relate to others through Equine Activities and play.
Equestrian Bridges Therapists design activities that lay the foundation for higher-level academic and communication skills such as: joint attention, confidence, communication, engagement, shared imagination, sharing and turn-taking, listening skills, emotional regulation and flexibility.
The Dream Catcher's program is held once a week for 8 consecutive weeks the clients are grouped by functioning and age. The groups typically consist of 4-6 so individual care can be assessed.
Starting February 8th 2017 held every Wednesday. We need committed volunteers for this 8 week session, for you will be assigned to a child and horse. We also need substitutes, so if you cannot commit to the 8 week group and you are willing to fill in if someone cannot make it. We dearly appreciate it!
